How the largest movement in the world came into being, and why no one saw it coming. Paul Hawken has spent over a decade researching organizations dedicated to restoring the environment and fostering social justice.
From billion-dollar nonprofits to single-person dot.causes, these groups collectively comprise the largest movement on earth, a movement that has no name, leader, or location, and that has gone largely ignored by politicians and the media. Like nature itself, it is organizing from the bottom up, in every city, town, and culture. and is emerging to be an extraordinary and creative expression of people's needs worldwide.

  • I watch this video every day: it's so inspiring. I volunteer for one of the organizations Paul talks about: it makes me realize how important this work I do is! I work to keep our food system safe and free from corporate control. It's my vision to see each of us able to access and afford quality food anywhere in the world.

  • There is an expression: "Cut off the head and the tail and eat the fish." Tossing a phrase like "he's a capitalist" is empty & meaningless. Who is so pure that they can be throwing stones?

  • @rep71le how'a it going ? well. to answer your question. no. no hawken isn't talking anout zeitgeist. i wondered this before. if you watch a movie called " thrive ". it's the full length version, 2:08:40, here on youtube. around 1:42:00 in there, it is touched on what he talks about here. if you watch the movie. please get back to me in a comment. i'm interested in your point of view. thanks.

  • Is he talking about the ZeitGeist Movement? :D Looks like a similar idea, just poorly integrated.

This video seems to be just a self promotion of a profit-based organisation =)

I'm not the one to judge, though

  • @deenaaroundtheworld Exactly.

  • democracy is two wolves and a sheep deciding who's for dinner. remember: any form of government is tyranny.

  • Thank you for this video! We need to see this every day.
