Elvis played this live by himself on tour in 1986 and it was one of my favorite perfomances ever. It is heartbreaking-not 80's production. Pure Elvis.

This version of the song appears on the 2 disc version of Blood & Chocolate as well. There's also a great rock and roll version of Battered Old Bird on there that totally justifies the purchase.
