@Loejyrrab ...is the CRA Carter rammed through, and Clinton (with Cisneros and Rubin) modified both in 1995 and 1999 where they basically forced banks to make loans to people with bad credit and 0%-5% down. That created a huge upsurge in home demand, prices skyrocketed, and since this extra demand was created from people who don't pay their bills, we had record forclosure...OOPS. GWB actually tried to address it in '02,'04,'06 and was stone-walled by Dems who got $Millions from Fannie/Freddie.

@Loejyrrab Actually Carter left us much worse off than GWBush. Carter's massive recession was over 10% unemployment, 12-15% inflation, and interest rates near 20%. Reagan fixed it by slashing taxes and regulations and creating 20 million jobs and DOUBLING federal revenue. Democratic congress kept spending though. Clinton did nothing to help the economy, it was Newt and the Republicans forcing him to cut spending, and he left us in a mild recession. But the big problem with Carter and Clinton...

@Loejyrrab Once again, I'm not going to defend Bush. I'll let the historians decide whether he was a good pres. or not. But it's clear that you have a deep seeded hatred for the man. I feel sorry for you. When you live in the past, it's easy to be unaware of the present.

@wiz9496 Wiz,Repubs still blame Clinton&Carter 4 problems.Both of those ex pres.didn't leave the country in a depression like Bush left us in.Carter's been gone for 30yrs.Yet here we have another conservative telling us Bush is gone,leave him out of it.It doesn't do any good.Yea, it don't do no good for your arguments.The harm he did will haunt us 50 years as we spend trillions on the 100's of K's of wounded soldiers that Bush lied into war.For these reasons,Bush is relevant for years to come!

@Loejyrrab What facts have I ignored? I know that Bush screwed up a lot, but complaining about that now doesn't do a lot of good. I'm living in the here and now. Obama made promises that he's not even trying to keep. That's what concerns me. He made these promises to get votes. I don't know if he intended on keeping these promises, or if it was all a ruse to get elected. Regardless, he doesn't deserve a second term.

@wiz9496 Wiz, it's very trying to debate someone who ignores the plainfacts.Bush's damage over 8 long years will stand as a record for all time. I stay with my post below. I do not love Obama.I see & admit his mistakes. He dissapoints me in many ways.Like under Bush, men are dying needlessly on his watch in Afgh. I cannot forgive him for that. You should be as forthright when it comes to Bush's blunders.Our whole political system is fucked,it's run for big corps only, but that's another debate.

We are heading for bankruptcy faster, now that Obama is pres. Apparently, your love for Obama won't let you see what a worthless piece of garbage he is.

B.O was sworn in in worst eco.downturn since the great depression which lasted 10yrs & saw25% un-emp.It took Roosevlt yrs to get things going.Un-emp rates were skyrocketing when B.O took office. Bush's adm were a gang of fools who allowed the economy to die.50K factories closed under Bush,the jobs going all over the world at slave wages.Even Cheney's comp.moved to Dubai.The current un-emp rate is 8.7 All factors considered, you should be kissing Obama's ass. He saved the US.

@Loejyrrab Wow! You've got your head firmly up your ass, don't you? The budget deficit for February alone was more than the entire year of 2007. Obama promised that unemployment would not exceed 8%. It's been over 9% for a couple of years with no end in sight. I suppose that's Bush's fault, too?
