Okay, I know about languages and I'm not defending the movie, but only the pronunciation of the names. In The Last Airbender, M. Night simply wanted the names to be how they would be actually traditionally pronounced, he did not want them to be Americanised. If anything's incorrect, that's the pronunciations of the show. Not to mention, the Avatar universe is a whole different world. In the show Fire nation having Chinese culture but European looking people and names... No place for Earth logic.
