This is Our Lady Peace doing an acoustic performance of their hit 1997 single, "Superman's Dead," from their sophomore album, Clumsy. While it wasn't the only hit single from the album, it helped pave the way for Clumsy to go Diamond in Canada. The song is said to be about the effects of television on children, saying how these days it sadly defines who they are, which is terrible these days (he recalls growing up with the old black and white Superman, while his younger brother is growing up with Beavis and Butt-Head).

  • This is pretty cool, I hate Bob Rick for trashing them, i mean dont get me wrong they are still cool but THIS was groundbreaking stuff.

    Know what i mean?

  • I'd love to hear him sing this in his new style of singing...I think it'd be awesome :)

  • Dude... he has probably got the most underrated voice I can think of right now.

  • Shut it down let's go home

  • honestly i'd be willing to bet the real reason raine's vocal style is so different these days is he murdered his vocal chords doing that falsetto for fifteen years straight.

  • Would love it if in the new album of theirs that they made a 2nd cd of acoustic tracks from many of there previous songs like this one.

  • Absolutely agree RJ. I find Raine's style has from wild to mellow over the years. I saw them on their recent tour, the album part of the show would have been better acoustic.
