Originally introduced in January 2001, Fender's Cyber-Twin® was one of the most revolutionary and ambitious new amplifiers to ever hit the market, and this footage explains why. This is the clip that was included with the DVD that shipped with the amp.

  • @F3FisGoodforYou This isn't digital for distortion. There are actual tube preamp stages with Fender-ish and Marshall-ish tone stacks. Actually, the tone stacks are digital (which is not trivial), but besides that, the actual preamp tone is all analog. Does a Super Reverb need to be updated? Does a Marshall 1959 Plexi? Nope. The tone stack modeling is so close to the original that there's no need for improvement. It's a linear circuit, after all.

  • a lot of negative responses here but this amp is the best fender has! like someone said a twin on steroids. anything different post Leo Fender will get negative response! its like chevy made a great 1955 car but if it was so great why didnt they keep making it. the truth is the 1955 was known to drink a quart of oil every 1000 miles and had other problems.

  • Always when I see praising something I turn very sceptic. Even though it may be good amp I hate unsincere, cheesy and stagy dialogue. It would be perfect if one neutral guy (or at least who pretends being neutral) takes journey through different possibilities and effects.

And then those agreement gestures, those really made me sick.

Really bad video but probably good amp.

  • WHY, WHY, WHY do some of you call this a modeling amp? It is not, okay? Geez, the amp switches it's internals to a tube preamp or solid state. It also changes power settings, speaker phasing, etc. to actually sound AS the amp you want. Not a snapshot or one amp setting. Mesa, Egnater even got the concept by having manual switchable boards in their high end amps.

  • @Magicmeatbag

You are right. This is a grossly misunderstood amp. I just bought a second one like new WITH the Cyber Foot Controller from a guy on Craigs List that said, "I don't know how to use it". I paid him $250 and promptly left.

  • @F3FisGoodforYou Actually it still sounds good. I have the original and have had the 2nd generation and have tried alot of other amps. This still ranks up there in great amp sound.

  • Are you able to update the modeling, because there have been a lot of progress since... I'm sure it sound awful compare to the new modeling amp of nowadays.

  • @The000Roy ah hah! So, you were the guy hogging that amp! I'm sorry my dog Earnie made pee pee on your car. He's very protective of me.

  • fck me shane from fender looks like a spotty 16 year old school kid, he must have thought he won the lottery when fender offered him a job at that age

  • Salesmen.....Not bad amps , versatility o.k yes..but reliability?? hopefully not like the other brands of modelling amps, and the DEC fender had,, by 'two' for stage for when it breaks down..Amps and effects should stay seperate..
