That doesn't look like the California roll from my favorite local sushi bar. Their recipe is shredded imitation crab mixed with a little mayonaise and little sharaci sauce in the mayo with cucumber sticks inside. Add a little sharaci on top for extra spice. It's good.
I'm making sushi now and have done some research and most everyone agrees that its a no go on jasmine rice. the rice must be a short grain or it won't be sticky. Also you need to ad a concoction of rice vinegar, salt, and sugar to it. I'm using Calrose rice. Good luck!
