I remember the first time i watched this ... i was crying for more than half an hour and i was beating myself to stop crying ... it was the saddest scene in a movie/tv show that i ve ever seen.

@mcblahh You didn't watch Lost, because if you did, you should know that Charlie has avoided the death many times.. You remember the quote:''the universe has always a way of course correcting'', so Charlie in this scene accepted his destiny, because if he had survived, surely he would have died in another way..

@mcblahh and if Charlie swam through the window, he'd just be put it another situation where he may die. It wasn't about a mistake with water pressure, it was about Charlie accepting that his death was inevitable.
