  • Still desperate to keep up a failed resource. Give it up Corporates.

  • Of course the upper class doesn't care how many lower class have to die to secure the profits for their corporations. In the end the lower class pays the same amount PLUS the cost of the war.

No one should own it. We should ALL own it. The profits from that resource should be used to promote global infrastructure.

  • The decision of the UN means crap all. The UN is a

dysfunctional political forum that has no teeth & holds no political weight in the territorial claims of sovereign powers & can do nothing to stop limited wars over religion & land & the UN bougeois WILL NOT DICTATE TO CANADA WHAT IS THEIRS IN THE ARCTIC. What's ours will be ours & if any dumbazz

euro nazi thinks to strong arm us out if it, you'll be labeled fascist & your military sent back home to you

AS SCRAP, & all your claims LOST!

  • also greenland, faroe = Norwegian you stupid dane;D

  • Also, Hans Island = Danish, you stupid Canadians.

  • The attempts of intimidation committed by Canada (Military bases) and Russia (Nuclear fleet) will have no effect against the decision of the UN. The nation which is given the region by the UN is protected against such primitive tactics.

It'd be a real pleasure if Denmark got all the ressources; then they'd have another chance of earning big € like Norway did with the oil given to them by a pissed (drunk) danish politician.

  • Amen!

  • According to the Law of the Sea, a treaty almost every nation has sighed, the Waters within The Canadian Archpeligo(sp?) are internal, since they are all within 200 Nautical miles of one another. The islands are also home to Canadian Inuits who don't want their waters becoming a passage way for every country. It also poses a major security threat to Canada due to Terrorism, with the undefended waters

  • If it gets sufficient attention, it seems to me that it would be an appropriate agenda item for the UN.

  • i agree BUT you know its not going to happen that way. The Imperialist history of 4 of the 5 countries (Norway excluded) doesnt make that too promising. but I'm sure Noway isnt above that either. I did critize the Canadian prof's remarks, BUT she is right when she said this could cause get conflict. I dont think its going to be covered in mainstream news, its a resource war waged by corporations. I think Canada will come out top, but its really hard to tell since its the corps, not the countries
