@YEAAASOOONNN You don't get immune, you just get used to the effects of the CS gas. It gets to the point where while it still might irritate your eyes and your senses, you can function just perfectly as if it wasn't there. It's all about your body getting used to the stuff-- which it eventually will.
-
@glenlackey2 thanks and yea my old man told me the same thing but ima enjoy it,i kno i will

@XxNiCkxx12345Xx The one big lesson I learned in the Marines is to never feel sorry for yourself. Don't even let it enter your mind, once it is in there it will grow and you will become weaker every step. Stay tough and learn to enjoy the pain, it can be done. Good Luck and Semper Fi.

ARS?
and oh really, cause that spray seems really painful. or at least painful enough to man Marines cry.
I would be interested to see the instructors do this with ease, considering you cannot be immune to CS spray.
-
@YEAAASOOONNN (cont'd)... but the CS grenades have over 120 tablets. That keeps you in perspective. Give me your email and I'll send you a picture of everyone standing around the woods before a run, getting CS-ed.
-
@YEAAASOOONNN: hey man! At ARS (in 2005) we get hit with CS grenades. It's a riot grenade and it's no joke. We never got sprayed. We had to don masks if we could but most of the time you're running are lying on the ground. One guy fell on a grenade and got a big whiff of it. He ended up convulsing on the ground.
However, our instructors (who get CS-ed all the time as a result) were practically immune to the weak pepper spray. In Boot Camp they put two tablets of CS in the chamber...

the randomest question...but I was watching MPs getting sprayed with OC spray. I get that they will have to deal with it often, but would SF have to go through it anyway just for the pain endurance and toughening?
I ask because I saw a lot of videos where the people cried, and im curious to see a video done with a SF operative who goes through it without showing any pain on the outside.

1/23rd was in 29 back in summer 1990 and after humping late at night about 6 miles to far (due to a stupid CO) we sent up to rack out and about 05:00 we suddenly were awaken from shells coming over our head. Yep, we were sleeping on a artillary range and the shells were zooming over our heads. They called a cease fire and we got the hell out of there. Good times.

@glenlackey2 That is an awesome story. That is the typical USMC for you....extra work due to officer mistakes to an area we aren't supposed to be.
