There's no point trying to rationalise the pinings of a crazy out-dated fascist and it is stupid-perhaps it is effective, but I would've expected better from a real intellectual.

Whilst in the East, where indeed a lot of the fundamentalism does need reconstruction, and the outlook is very fucking bleak especially with some of these irrational outspoken people, however this is very difficult when western so-called "liberated" media continues to dominate the airwaves, and by 'liberated' I mean trash t.v. etc--see his interviews on 'pregnant widow' and the "scarring" the enforced sexual revolution caused on one guy.
-
And that is the real issue here---The West still have this 'christian crusade&missionary'-complex-se
e how they invade and destroy in the name os instilling democracy and democratic 'maturity'. There is a famous Nigerian play about how the missionaries would destroy villages and age-old traditions because they didn't "understand them" -
It think it would be far easier to assume that everyone else is wrong-THAT would be real naivete!-does he not also condem lack of self introspection when speaking of this muslim fanatic----with these powerful Western nations that have a finger in everyone's pie and most of the time quite illegally, it would be foolish for them to assume moral superiority all the time.

I don't think Martin Amis is being very rational at all. He's driven by a love--something he admits to (see 'Experience' or how 'Rachel Papers' comes about, growing up with Saul Bellow etc)-and complete servitude and loyalty to the Zionist Jews he has grown up with.
What we see in the media about Muslims is very distorted, we get pictures and speeches from Muslim 'representatives' that say very little and simply repeat crazy ideologies.#

Oh please, just shut the fuck up. He doesn't have to know who he is. He's a news reporter. You probably didn't know who he was until this video. Cunt.
-
The interviewer doesn't even know who Sayyid Qutb is. Pathetic.
It good to see someone of Amis's stature not afraid to speak frankly on these matters.

But at least he wouldn't spell 'novelists' with two l's. Islam is basically medieval, and hasn't gone through a much needed reformation. It has a long, long way to go. The sooner humanity grows up and jettisons all religion, the better.
