During a U.S. House debate (seen on C-SPAN) on 2011 Federal Spending, Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA) comments on abortion, in response to comments made by Rep. Christopher Smith (R-NJ). Included in her comments, "I had a procedure at 17 weeks pregnant with a child...that procedure is a procedure that I endured. I lost a baby. But for you to stand on this floor and to suggest, as you have, that somehow this is a procedure that is either welcomed or done cavalierly or done without any thought is preposterous."

@lapirataroja -- you have no idea what you're talking about. Only 3% of what PPH does is abortion-related. The other 97% relates to healthcare, counseling and non-abortion birth control -- including cancer and STD screening.

another woman who has had an abortion supporting abortion...it is very evident that women who have endured abortion support abortion. I do NOT agree of my tax dollars supporting taking life away. I don't agree with a lot of things that the federal gov't does with my tax dollars but without a doubt, this is the worst.

@lapirataroja Not quite. 97% of Planned Parenthood's services are healthcare for women. Only 3% of services are abortions. Stop getting your "facts" from Faux News and you might end up informed.
