I like the idea of it, but I think if one day you land a big fish you will have issues trying to haul it in considering how little line you have to really play the fish. Might even end up most likely losing it since a big bass will hop to it like nothing when it bites. I guess it also depends on how you've set your drag beforehand. Interesting method. Keep us posted!

Just use a buzz bait, it has the same effect and it wont screw up your rod tip...

i like the method but i have to think you would catch more bass if you just parellel casted the weed line. you wont get as many shot strikes if you keep your retrieve a uniform speed so the bass can decide how to attack it.
