I remember well the first 58 Edsels. My best friend bought a
new Citation with an optional 430 Lincoln engine. The car was 2
tone beige & brown and to this day I've never seen anything more
beautiful. My friend Ken had no trouble with the car other than it
needed a larger gas tank, (30 gallon would have been appropriate),
to supply the thirsty 430. It was quiet, roomy and FAST!
I've always loved the Edsel, but only the 58s. The 59s & 60s
were just cheap Fords with different chrome.

you know, in the 80s, Ford tried another brand to slot between Ford and Mercury, Merkur, but luckily they didn't lose nearly as much money, and people only cared about the good cars they made, like the Ford Taurus

Congratulations on an excellent piece. This documentary tells the entire story; why it failed in the marketplace and why it is an icon today. This film does not take "cheap shots" of the car, but instead shows the Edsel in a respectful manner. As a former President of The Florida Edsel Club and an Edsel owner, I can tell you that this is a car much admired. C. Gayle Warnock, who appears here, was a good friend and is sorely missed. Thanks again for a terrific look at the Edsel.
Fantastic, when did this air?

Being a relatively recent series I'm surprised they haven't been taken down but others in series have been on here for up to 4 years. I've had 4 warnings but all appear to be about songs in the soundtrack rather than the program itself.
