actually, homeland scored 9 emmy nominations, not 8 (check anywhere) and the nominations include 'outstanding directing in a drama series', 'outstanding drama series', 'outstanding lead actor in a drama series', 'outstanding lead actress in a drama series' and 'outstanding writing in a drama series'.

not to mention homeland won 2 golden globes and a lot of other wins and nominations, including tca awards and wga awards, so.. need i remind you, homeland has just had ONE season so far.

The best surprise of the year for sure. But Julianna Margulies is as incredible as Claire Danes is. In my opinion, they are both the best actresses on TV right now.

Breaking Bad is definitely the best show right now, after it's finished next summer Homeland can definitely take that crown. For now it's a close 2nd :)
