3 months of figure skating - Future Ice Princess

So here is an update of my figure skating progression. I wish I had more time to practice, but unfortunately I don't. I've been taking lessons once a week, for 3 months now. I'm starting to prepare for my first competition coming up in March at the alpha level.

@shonyfish1234 Never claimed to be great, and agreed, why pay attention to that... Although, I'm curious about people (you included) that comment on how good or bad videos are when they don't post any of their own videos for commenting, whether they are great or not... Not intending to be negative. PS, this video is a year old, and I had never been on the ice before this. When it says 3 months, that's essentially 12 days, because I only really went once a week until later in my skating...

thank you for posting this. I'm 58 and just got bitten by the bug to want to do this!

I've been 3 times now and love it. I am just trying to get comfortable before taking lessons. I did buy a used pair of skates. When I watched the 81 yr old figure skater on here, I thought wow, I'm not too old to at least have some fun with this!

@hhhunt777 You're welcome. I finally got back onto the ice last week and brought my dad along with me and he's excited about learning. (You can see his videos too on my channel) He's 65 or so I think. (I know I should know his exact age, but I don't) :) Good luck!

Looks as if you're still learning to skate. Might wanna get basic balance down before you go all ice princess.

@robbyns I'll definitely work on basic balance, thank you for the advice. Never claimed to be an ice princess, the key word is FUTURE. I didn't say tomorrow.

@amymardis Yay for progress! I also started started skating last year as an adult, and moved up in the ranks to Freestyle 1. I'm also doing my first ever competition at my local rink next month! I'll be skating a Delta level program, but I'm totally excited about it, no matter if I'm the only adult in the competition or not. :)
