I too question why he had to play football ;I'll read the book-the author is a FIRST RATE writer who writes the best books on Wall Street out there; and Hollywod ALWAYS oversimplifies stories; it is a cliche-"white family saves discarded young black kid"-but there's always a place for compassion in this world-and his fate would have been a whole lot worse without that family...
