Peeping Tom came first.

In the film at one point, Leslie did mention Chucky. I wish people would'nt forget him cause he's a slasher like Michael & all that

Hell yeah ! i think no one can beat The fourths Slashers legends: Michael Myers, Jason Vorhees, Leatherface and Freddy Krueger. They are the best, and it's not a little dolly like Chucky or somes fags like "ghostface" (scream), "Pinhead" (hellraiser) or "Candyman" who can compete with them. They are the ELITE, The best killers of all movies man ! They pwn everything and everywhere. A lot of people will not agree with me but i don't cares. Slasher-fans know that i'm right!

Wikipedia Says it's "ki ki ki ma ma ma" (for "Kill her, Mommy" or somethin' like that)

lol the bewst is texas chain saw massicare !!!!!!!
Great review! Only one thing: I think Psycho is psycho-thriller suspense movie, not a slasher horror film. That would make Norma/n Bates a next door boy killer (the 2°, the 1° is Hans Beckert from M-1931, a noir suspense film). While I was watching the movie I see Leslie more as a ndbk than a slasher, he really reminds me of Norman Bates in some scenes. Nice guy, handsome, a little bit crazy, charming, get along with guys and woman fall for him, police dont suspect...is an ndbk with no doubts

Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate your analysis of the movies. Your comment is the first I've ever heard of the "boy next door killer" sub-genre. Categorizing these films can become a very gray area because the different sub-genres share so many similar characteristics. However - classification gives us a jumping off point for analysis. Thanks for sharing.

'twitch of the death' nerve was the bridge between 'blood and black lace' and 'halloween'. great giallo and a must for any slasher fan. called by many to be the first body count movie and shares many similarities to both halloween and friday the 13th, just a decade earlier!

Thanks for bringing up Bay of Blood. That was one of those films that I neglected to mention - but always wish I had. That's the pain of doing these reviews extemporaneously as one always tends to leave out something. Like you said - Twitch of the Death Nerve deserves mention as there are more than simple similarities between it and Friday the 13th part 2 as several shots/gags were almost lifted straight from Bava's earlier film and recycled into Friday part 2.
Thanks for watching.//Streebo
