  • I want to learn how to talk like this just to go up to my friends and say random things!!! they'll be so confused!!!

  • @Alunaanra If I remember correctly (aka "don't quote me on this") Y in Tolkien's languages makes a "yuh" sound, so therefore "Hyn" is sort of a "Hyhun".

  • @Dragorel finnish was Tolkiens favourite language

  • @Sheidy98Videos

Something I never understood, was Legolas fluent in Quenya as well? I sometimes think "maybe not" because I remember in the book, Legolas found the Noldor strange to him, as was their tongue (Quenya, which they found to be far more beautiful than Sindarin).

But then, maybe as a prince learning ONE more Elvish language couldn't have been such a bad idea for him.

  • Can someone please tell me why he pronounces "hyn" in the Helm's Deep scene like "huun"? I always thought it is more a "heen"

  • of course when Quenya has origins in Finnish...

  • Did you know? If you'd want to learn to pronounce Finnish correctly you could just try to imitate how he speaks in these clips. :D Very much alike, except for the "th" sounds, we don't have them.

  • can you translate the sentences?
