I recorded this on an ITT cassette tape when they had first come out, about 1972, not quite sure. Gerry played a few times in the Coventry area and sometimes as a duo with Cliff Aungier. This gig was at a folk club hosted by Rod Felton at The Three Tuns pub in the city centre. The cassette tape is nearly 40 years old so I've done my best to clean it up using Cool Edit Pro.
Gerry was a great influence on my musical life and such a nice guy too, he let me play his old Martin D28 guitar after his gig and showed me right hand harmonics and chords and stuff, I was just a kid then. Such a shame he passed away so young. One of the best acoustic blues players ever.
