@Cerberusballs I think they go together fine. I don't think that the Goon or Franky would be the same characters if they had yokel accents, and I don't think the setting would benefit if it were clearly one or the other. The setting and music have yokel qualities because it fits and sets the tone of the world Eric Powell created, and the Goon and Franky are accented like Yanks because it fits their characters. If you think about things in those terms, the two go together just fine.
