Dance With Me - Peter Yttergren with guest Mike Elliott

This is me playing drums to my jazz-rock tune "Dance With Me". I had the privilige to collaborate with the great Mike E on this tune. Sadly, he passed away before we could complete it. Since he had only put down a rough sketch for me, I was not sure whether to release this or not. But I dug it up from the archive and completed a mix. I'm sure Mike would cringe hearing some of this as it was a rush-job for him, and not the final would-be product. Still there are some great bits in there, underscoring what a great musician he was.

I really enjoyed this song. Your playing style is appropriate for this tune and not so technical that the average drummer could enjoy following along. Your dynamics were rich and pleasing. Thanks for the post and for keeping the memory of your friend alive in music. I lost a close musician friend not so long ago as well. Keep up the good work.
