I did this last night (1/27/12) my 10-12 man raid made it up to this boss, all i gotta say is that sucker is hard to kill....haha

@zslaya500 Balrogs are god-like beings that have turned on Morgoth's side, Morgoth was the master over Sauron. That's why they say The Balrog of Morgoth in the movies, and If gandalf turned evil he would be a Balrog. so the balrog and gandalf is of the same origin, created personally by the gods, read The Silmarillion ;P

@zslaya500 Thaurlach is a Balrog, but the Balrog in the movies is named "The Balrog of Morgoth" or "Durin's bane" by the dwarves. This one is another one, yes there are more Balrogs
