One of my happiest moments in 1962, when I just had immmigrated from Germany to California, turned out to be an evening at the San Francisco 'Blackhawk' with HIM and the Quintet on stage.
Jack Kerouac wrote in "On the Road": "He was our God".
So he was mine and still is.
When he left us and became immortal, a piece of my very personal musical universe left with him. Thank you for your wonderful upload, bobjazz11 !

one of his best of all time!

You don't hear stuff like this today.

To have this here when I need it is a treasure. Is it possible to note the wonderful man who wrote this song...Alec Wilder? Thank you

RIP. Brilliant and kind man.
If ever I'm feeling blue I come here and listen to this. I first heard him on a 78 in the late forties! Such a great distinctive sound.
