The Politics of the Rev. Wright Controversy: A Debate with Melissa Harris-Lacewell and Adolph Reed, Jr.
As the Reverend Wright controversy continues to dominate media attention, we host a debate with two guests. Melissa Harris-Lacewell is associate professor of politics and African American studies at Princeton University. A Barack Obama supporter, she was a member of the Trinity United Church, and Reverend Wright was also her pastor. And Adolph Reed, Jr. is professor of political science at the University of Pennsylvania. He makes the case against voting for Senator Barack Obama in the latest issue of The Progressive magazine. That was a really fun two years of elections. I'm a Wright and Obama supporter but for different reasons.

I love Reed, but JESUS CHRIST, get some speech coaching! If you want to be a public intellectual in the sense of being on radio, TV... you need to be able to speak clearly!

thisis.. obama is clueless and is essentially unaware of his surroundings. We do not need another clueless guy to be the prez of USA, not any more.
The Obamas thought that he would get away with deceiving the american people with his speeches, atleast that is what they had planned, but they got caught and exposed. This has nothing to do with Wright, he has a right to be dispicable. but Wright is not running for Prez. Nor is Bush. But the Obamas are, and they will be evaluated for the job.

flawed logic, thisis, the question is not whether the iraq war is more disgusting than obama's 20 year affiliation with the preacher, obviously it is; the question is who is the best candidate for the job president. obama is a nobody who runs on "being above politics," which makes him a complete hypcorite, and one who has done jack on the national level. Clinton is AMAZING. stupid obama supporters.

Again, I'm not offended by his actions. Perhaps some are tasteless, but look at what Bush has done and tell me that this is a big deal.
