Mr Tambourine Man - Ukulele (cover)

From Bob Dylan's "Bringing It All Back Home" album of 1965. However, I have consciously tried not to copy anyone's version of this song.

It is gloriously unrehearsed, but I like to record a song before I have thought how I'm going to play it. This keeps me on my toes.

I am using my Kanile'a tenor, tuned one full tone lower. Is is therefore played in the key of Bb.

At close to 7 minutes this is not a short song, but I am taking it much slower than it is usually played. Why? Because I want to.

Well, I listened to it again 3 months after my first comment, and really enjoyed it. Another night I might have liked Dylan's more compelled, driven take on it; on a different night I might have like they Byrds' melodic / "wall of sound" approach. But tonight, Ken's understated, inquisitive encounter with the muse really hit the spot.
