A unique aspect of Pontian dance is the tremoulo (Greek: Τρέμουλο), which is a fast shaking of the upper torso by a turning of the back on its axis. Pontian dances are similar to Greek dances in being danced in a line and forming a circle. Many Pontian dances are almost identical in steps to Greek dances. Pontian dances also resemble Persian and Middle Eastern dances in that they are not led, with no single leader in the dance formation. This is different from Greek dances but is a widespread aspect of Persian and Middle Eastern dances.

  • There is so much power in that music and rhythm.

It gives a feeling of safety, like as no one can harm you, as long you are near, that is not easy to explain with words.

    Extraordinary.

  • You understand....!!

Yes, it is our "Self" recognising it's own energy, strong, and, when I watch, see, and feel, it is as if all these men are "me", female though, but also women have male energies, and vice versa, as one line, close, connected, strong....

    You feel, maybe, the same.....

No, I am sure you experience the same.

Beautiful expressed!!, thank you for sharing ..!!

  • @letslivedalive .... and I forgot to add the link from andrikopoulosdim: watch?v=0FT4Rxb0yvs

    Thank you, Dimitris Andrikopoulos! :))

  • @letslivedalive In my FondOfGreek channel I got an answer on my question about the dance. Channel andrikopoulosdim sent me a link to a similar video: Title: O Pirixios Xoros. It is a Serra dance, I know it as a Pontian dance. There could be a difference, but I am not an expert. Look in wiki for it, also Serra (dance), and: Pyrrhichios (dance). Pyrrhichios is from the title: O Pirixios Xoros. X is the Greek character what sounds like the ch in chiropractor. Listen also: watch?v=u6Vpi0nLSLY

  • @letslivedalive .... I try to find it....., you are right, it IS special and I love it also.
