As if the regular pistol wasn't hard enough, doing pistols on a rail takes the exercise to a whole new level of balance and stabilization strength. In general, pistols are a phenomenal way to build strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination in the legs. Pistols are also one of the few body weight leg exercises that will adequately challenge somebody beyond the beginner and intermediate levels.
