This is an example of what my customized Shaka Braddah 5 sounds like.
The op amp is a germanium version of Joe Davisson's diode compression op amp, the clipping diodes are "true green" LEDs.

Everything else is homebrew stuff as well. My homemade orange squeezer first in the signal chain, 5F1 clone amp, and the guitar is a partscaster with a 1994 Fender MIM body, poplar with ash top and swimming pool routed with a Warmoth Pro goncalo alves neck with pau ferro fretboard. Dimarzio HS-3 bridge, HS-2 neck and a custom Fender Tex-Mex middle pickup (flattened stagger 1800 turns removed)

  • Hey man. What do you think of the GA/Pau Ferro combo as opposed to the Maple/Rosewood?

  • @RyanCondrey89 I really like the feel of the raw goncalo. the pau ferro fingerboard is very bright, though. This neck almost sounds like a one piece maple. Brighter and more midrange than a rosewood on maple neck.
