@nickothompson Yes, and it is OUR job (above-named People) to self-educate. Relying on someone else to teach you is how cults are created and sheep-mentality evolves. It is the lack of an interest in educating ourselves that created this quandary we find ourselves in today.
The politicians, TV talking heads, military leaders, and economic titans are all controlling us because we lack an exercised freedom. We think freedom is free, and that being free is a state. No, it's a job. Start now.

@rotnflesh I thin their job is to spin reality. Both liberal and conservative.

@bnjones28 You are confused my friend, both the republicans ad them democrats are pricks, both work to keep things the same, the system is broken, having only two parties, is a joke... what kind of choice is that? The republicans are for the upper 5% of the wealth and the democrats are for the middle class, but neither do a thing about the ghettos, or the poor in general. Stop being brainwashed by the news.

This turk the jerk should be in Congress, he is a big prick and should fit in with the Lib.s just fine.

Reporters acting in the capacity of a public speaker are considered "public officers" and "public servants" because their job is to exercise the First Amendment for the benefit of all (it's a responsibility), so when they do not cover pertinent news topics (like war, including photos) for non-obvious reasons (political or controlling reasons) they revoke their right to perform under that office. People need to self-educate themselves on the rights and the rules for public priveleges like media.

I don't personally like Stark, but his words on the floor are extremely important to consider. However, for the benefit of the crowd, I submit:
American Communications Association v. Douds, 339 US 382, 442-43 (1950).
"Thought control is a copyright of totalitarianism, and we have no claim to it. It is not the function of our Government to keep the citizen from falling into error; it is the function of the citizen to keep the Government from falling into error.”

@doc1038 - Amazingly, you have not caught Cenk's obvious sarcasm; I may not always agree with this man (nobody truly agrees with anyone else's; there's always some disagreement) but I will admit: He does make news entertaining and, when serious, breaks down the facts for his viewers.
That's about 7 words more than i can say about the MSM talking heads and their laughing jokes about serious issues and indifferent attitude towards important issues (real important issues)
Facts and logic has a well known liberal bias
