Value - 8

overall - 7.8

Pros
Gorgeous and Varied environments
Excelent sound design
Fighting Giant creatures with friends is fun
plenty of content to keep you playing
sense of humor with fun taunts and customizable characters

Cons
Uneven and often unfair Difficulty leads to VERY frustating moments
unnecessarily long knockback animation is back and even MORE annoying
Story is difficult to follow, and forgetable
Alot of little issues that take away from the fun of the game
why do you need Thermal energy in the desert?

  • lost planet 1 has the akrid vs the people thing (thats unique to the series i guess)

  • @cowZ001 yes it did, but LP2 did not

  • this is a better review then IGn or game spot but the controls are fine and the knock backs are only bad when you and your teams mates are not working as one:)

  • @Kaotiikandchaosstorm Thank you

  • Eh, too late anyway... when did I post that comment below? I bought it, quite a good game... Still don't remember posting that...

  • @LPwarrior1 isnt alcohol a helluva drug? lol.. anyway, yeah still a great game despite its issues, i try to be fair in all my reviews, i know alot of other reviewers miss the mark pretty wildly on reviews.. this game in particular got 5's and 6's from everyone for minor issues, stupid to do that to a game that is still alot of fun to play

  • @Squeaky4CC then your opinion isnt really valid is it?

  • I thought they needed thermal energy to power machines, that's why they needed it in the desert. And I enjoyed the story, but alot of my friends didn't follow.. So yeah, this is a rather fair review. This is the video I will refer to when I recommend this game to friends, instead of "IGN REVIEWS SAID ITS BAD?! OH ITS BAD ALRIGHT!"

  • @RuLeZ1988 I, personally, feel it has tons of replayability. Playing chapters with friends who never beat it is always tons of fun, replaying boss battles, leveling up characters, trying to beat the game on Hard, using different abilities and different play styles. Idk, I don't find the cooperative play to decade whatsoever. Ive beaten the campaign a few times and still don't mind playing it. Cutscenes are entertaining too.

  • fair review game wasn't perfect but was very fun 4/5

  • Oh and some of the ai is dumb as shit

  • I loved this game the only down side was it was shortabd no carpet bagger chapter and the second boss fight was annoying don't go inside of it keep blowing off it's legs with a vs suit works every time

  • I just got this and would like to play coop on XBL. GT: sampanel

  • @Kaotiikandchaosstorm I actually dont own this game and iam thinking about to get it. But if the KI is really that bad, how can you finish this game without coop ? The coop campaign vanish´s over the time while the game gets older. And this game is already pretty old, thats why more people finished the story and less people are avaible for a coop. So how can you compensate the teamwork when you play with the KI as your team ? Does it even payoff to play the campaign nowadays ?

  • i think the use of thermal energy in a desert isnt to keep you warm but to keep your harmonizer in top condition.

  • i agree with the last con :I its stupid

  • I hate the second boss fight with the giant frog can never beat it
