the dishmaker showed me that a mini-factory can replace cabinets full of dishes, so i figured that a personal tailor could replace closets full of clothes. you could get fitted for tailor-made clothes in the morning and throw them away when you go to bed at night. ideally the material could be re-used with less energy than washing and ironing clothes. in this movie i use shape memory or shrink plastic cloth that shrivels when exposed to heat. the plastic fibers were stretched before being made into a tube, so they return to their original shape when they are heated. to reset, you can just stretch our your clothes at night and they can be re-fitted the next morning.
