Just when Pierre the Mime King thinks he is safe after telling off an Indian HARM agent and continuing on his way, along come Cate Archer and Magnus Armstrong to ruin his plans....

This is the one "rail shooter" sequence from NOLF2. Cate and Magnus ride a tricycle in hot pursuit of the unicycling Mime King as one killer mime after the next attempt to foil the chase.

Let it never be said that the No One Lives Forever games take themselves too seriously. ;-)

  • Can't remember, and please answer : If I start playing again NOLF 2 (already finished it) will my skill points be saved, and improve Cate Archer's abilities even more? Or it will be reset to 0?

  • @EmmyDelight As I recall, NOLF 2 didn't carry the points over from game to game. NOLF 1 did, however, thus allowing you to go back and explore secret areas which you previously missed because you didn't know how to toss a grappling line at the time.

  • God damn it you just spoiled that for me :D

  • @tunglour Sorries. ;-p

  • I reckon Nolf 3 could be a prequel to the NOLF series. As in Kate Archer as a petty thief but is really an undercover spy for another agency.

  • @Antphoneigh Ooh, that would be a good idea. Didn't the intel in NOLF 1 suggest something about Kate being something like a cat burglar or something similar before she got recruited into UNITY?

  • The Nolf games were truly something special. Nolf 3 might never happen but we'll always have these two fantastic games. Then again, American McGee's Alice finally got her sequel after a decade. Perhaps there's hope for Nolf 3 yet.

  • @twobarells The God of War and the God of the Ocean clashed in battle to determine the fate of a single dolphin's soul. They just chose to manifest their epic battle as two Scots on a tricycle shooting at a French midget on a unicycle, that's all.

  • I remember playing this game at the age of like 3. ._.

  • @SuperViinapiru HER nickname, actually. But yes. She was the Fox.

Not exactly the most inspired nickname, is it?

  • @BloodyBay You know I asked? Four years ago... I used to have a crack for NOLF 2, that somehow managed to save my skillpoints. And after I started 2nd time the game, I saw that my skill points were almost full (where they have been left in the previous game). Petty weird but cool thing.

  • @Antphoneigh What if she used to work for HARM .....

  • My favourite game of all time.

  • God this game was so ahead of its time, the immersion, graphics sound and even detail and emotion of the actors in the real time cut scenes was amazing for a game from 2002.

  • classic.
