Diggin History #44 - Silver woods hunt ~ metal detecting

Out metal detecting for 3 hours in a new set of woods. First hunt after being down with the worst case poisen ivy that I have ever had, so I was anxious to get some silver!!! Well I finally made my way to a set of woods that I have been eye ballin for some time now. I was a little hesitant because it was either going to be good or a bust as nothing is really in the area just a clearing in an old areal pix. I was in a rush and jumped all around so when I have more time I will definitely go back and do a more thorough hunt. This brings my silver count for 2009 up to 45!!!

Yea, how do you find these remote places in the woods?

This place was a total gamble, I didn't even know if I would find anything. I would say for every hunt that I make a video for, I probably have 2 or 3+ hunts where I just find junk. This hunt I only had a 1938 areal pix of the place and it had woods all around it but this site was a clearing in the middle.

How did you choose that remote spot to hunt? Old camping area or something?
