@MrSjh123 Its called imagination it rarely happens when it comes to film/T.V, never mind a stable show with a few seasons.
With this show it looks like the leashes that are kept on the writers were taken off.
Give it a try, remember do not take it to seriously.

@Nighthawk42493 Their are plenty of other shows too. "Lost Girl", "Flash Point", "Rookie Blue", "Republic of Doyle" and "The Listener". These are just a few to name. On another note shows such as "Stargate SG1", "The Fringe" and etc... are produced up here. Along with many movies you would not think of.
