Call of Duty is dieing because its not new just maps and guns what they should do is make it better gameplay or make diffrent game modes and its dyeing because and i think the new genre is goning to be zombie video games

I think with the new consoles coming out they will be able to give a more realistic and in depth experience of ww2 similar to band of brothers or saving private ryan so i believe ww2 will make a comeback at some point. And people will like it because realistic gore & violence will be focused upon way more to show the true face of war

The Call of duty series will go on no matter if u like it or not many casual gamers get xbox 360s or ps3s just to play them but black ops 2 will probably be the same as MW3 and activision dosnt need to worry about it because everybody will buy it. when the xbox 720 comes out and there is nothing new thats when they will run in to trouble and the call of duty series will eventually die.

It's first person shooters in general, they are dying out because they are running out of ideas. Third person shooters will take over because it offers many more options of character customizations, environment interactivity and just the whole way you play the game is completely different and adds more depth than FPS. There has really yet to be a giant TPS multiplayer game, Socom was the biggest but nowhere near as big as BF and COD.
