Comment on it, I'm trying to improve the program. What did you type in to find this site? This started out as a simple house fire, but the department almost loses one of their own. Listen to the IC and the FF describe what happen. This incident lead to the department purchasing a Bullard Thermal Imager
i have found first hand that the use of thermal image is the best attack on a fire but its only as good as the user of course.most single stories are what you would call bread and butter fires but when you encounter multi stories is were it can go bad quick.you asked opinions on how to better the situation.take into consideration that its very easy to get dependent on the camera but make it protocal to use it when its a multi storie fire.

i agree with you......but if your company doesnt have enough radios for every ff then you SHOULD BE WORKING IN PAIRS!!!!!!!!! no matter what and atleast one person per pair should have a radio and then the air packs should have some kind of pass device......plus y didnt they use an area master stream once it colapsed through both floors

Thermal should've been bought a long time ago. But it all depends on the companys budget and also grant stuff.
great video tho. Will use this in my training evolutions.

Excellent video! Thank god my brothers are still alive. I am a volunteer fire fighter in South Dakota. I typed in house fire training when i seen your video. I spend a lot of time watching good ones like this one to make myself a more responsible and educated firefighter. thanks!

I know all to well what that fire fighter felt. Me and another fire fighter were traped when the first floor fell in on us. we both were traped under burning debbres. I was traped for 10 min and the other fire fighter was traped for 20 min. nether of us had radios. All i have to say is in my 8 years as a fire fighter that night was the scarryest night of my life. sorry for the poor spelling its hard to type with the burns on my hands
