I can understand people having atheistic viewpoints but the childish mockery and on some occasions the sheer undiluted outpouring of bile against those with faith is a truly peculiar reaction. Surely a discussion of the topics and issues raised is way more interesting.

@bnwade If you are seeking truth, honesty & integrity then try the excellent, ' The reason driven life' by Robert M Price which is his reply to TPDL. Price makes many witty, good humoured observations on TPDL & the Bible. He points out that the authors of the Bible often have more than one opinion on each topic. Higher criticism of the Bible reveals treasures that apologetics miss. I have faith in the riddle of 'love your neighbour & enemy' if it means try to say & do the caring thing.

@bnwade I think that the truth is very important. The truth has set me free. I have come to accept the initial reaction to the Bible that I had at 10 years old- that many of the characters in the Bible do unethical things which don't get specifically criticized. At the same time there are good ideas in the Bible such as Matt7v12 The Golden Rule, which author Valerie Tarico talks about in her good book, 'Trusting doubt' .  wisdomcommons also talks about this & humanity's shared moral core

That it is unlikely the book of Acts was written after Paul died is a solid argument. That Luke would not record the death of the Apostle Paul if he had died before Luke finished The Acts Of The Apostles is not something I would think merely unlikely, it would be extremely unlikely.
