The claim that these missile shields were intended to protect Europe from fictitious Iranian missiles was an insult to intelligence. Iran lies to the south-east of Europe, east of NATO member Turkey, whereas the Czech Republic and Poland lie in northern Europe. It was blatantly obvious that these missile shields right next to Russia was an intentional and direct threat to Russia.
