long time ago, some guy must have went to sarawak and heard people playing the sape..

when he went back to his country he decided to make a similar instrument..when he wanted to name the instrument, he decided to use one of the many races in sarawak as a name..

thus, the Ibanez was born! :D

i never cry hearing any sape' beat before.. but Jerry Kamit just really nailed it! indeed, i drop my tears. how amazing is our rhythm.. totally proud to be Sarawakian. we have a great culture and i am very proud to be in the orang ulu family! plus, it was a great pleasure meeting Jerry Kamit & Tuku' Kame' at Brunei last week. we performed in the event of Sarawak Travel Fair. what a fantastic experienced and opportunity got to know and meet him in person.. :) miss them now.
