The Philosophy of Cuddles

Part poem and part philosophy. No matter what my mind is focused on, it's my flesh that endlessly misses the impact of a cuddle. To my mind, this says a great deal about their importance.

Ok so I am in a pickle. Do I like this one more than the others? It's so full of emotion, yet there is a lighthearted air about the whole thing. So heartwarming, yet so much sincerity rings through. @AngelEyezNation I'm not sure what to make of this one either, so we're in the same boat there! Sometimes I like it and other times it makes me feel uncomfortable. Well, maybe sometimes poetry should give us that reaction. I rarely have time to properly catch up with those I follow on youtube, but I will be more than happy to try and keep up with what you're creating :)

I like the tenderness and comprehensiveness of this poem. Thank you for sharing it with us all. I'm a mother of little ones, so cuddles certainly count for a lot, too true. I like the variety of images here, too. Yes too many out there "quintessentially broken", a good line, one of many here. Cheers.

@PassionateMistress Yes, I think you're right. We too easily make something unnatural appear natural - but that's true of so many things about being human. And, yep, that was me and my son when he was born. There's also one of him with his teddy bear! I think that's called a bear hug! :)

It isn't natural for us to live without such human closeness. Caught that photo of you and your son, very sweet. Unfortunately my son, in all his 7 years of maturity has decided hugs are not cool : (
