Nobody will care about this except me. Heck, I'm not even sure I should care about it; I don't even watch Code Geass. However, I had to do this, if only to keep myself from ripping one of my favourite music artists to shreds.

For the past few years, ALI Project's new singles have all seemed to be clones of their first two Rozen Maiden songs. Their first Code Geass song was a pretty bad example of this. So, when I saw the new ending for Code Geass R2, I shouldn't have been surprised that it was much the same.

Watching that ending, however, made me mad. In addition to unoriginality, the slow dissolve editing did not even TRY to fit the song, save one little bit of quick cutting near the end. The first Code Geass ending had the same problem. Add to that the fact that the B-side of the single was a better song and much more suited to the way the images in the ending were presented, and I got frustrated.

I don't care if everyone thinks this is pointless. I just had to get this out of my system.

  • Congratulations. Now this song is my new favorite from Ali-Project.

  • @1aundulxaldin Success! :D

  • ok i dont see whats wrong about the two endings of code geass i mean they both sounded badass and your right that they did not fit but still there badass and what do you mean by clones of rozen maiden

  • @Niyth The songs themselves are pretty good, but my main problem is just that they don't fit. That's basically it. Also, by "clones of Rozen Maiden" I mean that the songs sound incredibly similar to the songs ALI Project contributed to Rozen Maiden, which came out first. Listen to the opening themes for Rozen Maiden and Rozen Maiden Traumend, and then listen to the two Code Geass ending themes. You'll probably get the similarities.

  • you cant really blame the song. The creators have butchered the ALI Project songs in Code Geass. Personally, though her songs all carry the same style and in ways seem the same, I love them all, and i was so pissed when i saw how they cut the first 2 endings.

  • While we disagree on whether or not their songs sounding the same is a good thing, I can definitely agree that the editing on those endings is piss-poor. Good god. D:

  • Je ne la connaissais pas , elle est très bien !

  • I don't know what it is, but Ali Project has a knock for leaving a bittersweet, tragically cynical, highly emotional taste in my mouth. Maybe that's why their singles seem to go hand-in-hand with an anime like Code Geass. Whatever the case, the slow draw, and deeply devastating undertones of this song go WAY better with the elegant, surreal-fantasy images seen here in the ending than the first song, which was TOO fast, just sort of empty of any effort and really half-assed.

  • I'm in no position to discern whether or not your frustration with Ali Project's singles are justified. But I will say that the song I just heard now seems to better fit with the heavy tones of all the crazy imagery. So it's not bad.

  • i like code geass i'm lelouch the rebillion

  • Are you satisfied now?

  • ok noted the code geass songs did not fit but this is just me i noticed sorta of differice between the Rozen Maiden 1st and 2nd season openings but the 1st 1 sounded similar to the code geass endings but the 2nd op sounded kinda different but i get your point now
