This is Willy DeVille's version from a Johnny Thunders tribute album. Willy was in the band Mink De Ville and was in New Orleans when Johnny died.

@GriMxKxBxFxMxBx --I know the gal who made that movie. I believe this song is from the "Hurt Me" record. It's an acoustic Thunders album. I don't know who sang THIS version, but it's a bit hammy i must say. It says 'Cypress Grove Blues' and that's a song by the great Skip James. It's all confusing to me...

I thought it was him because I saw the movie "What About Me" which Thunders did the music for(and appears in). This exact song ends the movie. I thought he recorded it solo when he was older or something, but if I'm wrong please let me know. Its a bad ass version anyways, and a great song.
