long ago in Hoboken on their last tour..funded by themselves, I went to meet them after writing their manager.. walked in maxwells and bought them all beers and told them how much their music meant to me.. actually saved my life , as I drove long distances at stupid hours..and whenever I was falling asleep at the wheel..I would put them in and sing along..and wake up ultimately. I shook their hands that night and said good bye..Julian said that was it.. maybe one day they;ll be back. I wish..

One of the most underrated and incredible bands of all time! Their lyrics are penetrating and poignant...in 20 years there has not been a time I listened to them and have not been incredibly moved. I remember driving into Atlanta after being on the road for 8 hrs listening to KOD and hearing this song...and completely losing track of what I was doing it was so engrossing....

@walshd66 the cool kids who weren't cool kids, liked this kinda music. Yet we reveled in our own music, knowing only a select few would know it and love it. That made it all the more special.

Its mad to think that this song has been one of my favorites for twenty years and hardly anyone has heard of it. I saw the band in Bradford way back when and I had a poster signed in pool chalk. I still have it somewhere. ....What a band and a soundtrack to my younger days.

One of Brit Pop best bands, sadly underated and so much missed today. MAD AS SNOW freezes my heart and senses all the time, so melancholic and so powerful, a blend only Kitchens achieved. Most interesting video of unknown gig. My other favourite tracks from DEATH OF COOL album are WHAT HAPPENS NOW, BLUE PEDAL and the incredibly touching CAN'T TRUST THE WAVES - what a great drummer and singer there. Thanks !
