Interesting that once upon a time cities all across America had 'trolleys' (now they're called lightrail) and they were destroyed and replace with buses. Now the trolley is getting revenge...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Seattle's light rail system looks nice! It looks quite different from what I'm used to seeing here in LA. :)

I love Light rail! I got to ride the MAX in Portland quite a few time when visiting friends there! Very efficient way to travel. I would like to ride this as well the next time I head up to the Seattle area.

I wish we had cool shit like this in Florida but I know it will never happen because it's not green nor progressive like Seattle,Portland, and the Northwest.

Well, it looks like they did a hell of a great job at it....
It maybe a light rail, but it moves like any metro rail system in america like Boston's mbta, Chicago's cta, or Philly's septa or patco (that's where i live)

I rode this today from downtown to the airport...it is a wonderful system..It is a long schlep from the light rail to the airport terminal. Some moving sidewalks would be nice.

By the time Toronto replaces its streetcars humanity will colonize Mars...
Has this system any undergound sections or it's just a streetcar like in Sacramento.
I'm very interestered in US public transport systems

@VadikKMV Did you watch the whole video? There is a long underground section in it. Also, Seattle is expanding this system, and the new expansions will be mostly underground.

I'm absolutely not a fan of light rails but Seattle's light rail looks really neat. I can't wait to visit there this fall.

@jalfredl I feel the same way, that and + I have a friend that was involved in the construction of it.

Checkout Vancouver's skytrain, serious rapid transit, automated fast, seperated guideway. 20 years in service, now running at capacity. We are a city that uses public transit, because it is faster than a car. People need to see where they are going, underground is alienating, it alows them to make sense of where they live and seel at home/safe.
