  • This "thing" happens every year. It's an epic event. Saturday after Thanksgiving. 10 a.m. start time at the Washington Boulevard Cycling oval. It's an all day affair of fun and climbing over 56 miles.

  • The people that live at the base have an excellent sense of humor. They actually put in a bay window to watch traffic try to go up it in the winter. It's no miracle to get to the top. Plenty of people do it. The trick is to stay to the right. The left has leaves and heavy moss growing that never leaves. Rookies in the wrong gear do fall over quite a bit. Ride is in about six weeks, Saturday after thanksgiving. Come on out!

  • Trust me, it is a 38% grade.

  • Steepest possible public road known...and I want to ride it someday on my bike...what is wrong with me? I'm gonna need a few things...including a new set of lance armstrong legs...

  • can someone tell me how rough the cobble stone is? i want to longboard it haha

  • @rudypoodoo

    Lombard Street is 27%

  • If you want truely steep street, nothing beats Lombard Street in San Fransisco with its 45% grade!

  • There's a street in a small town in southern Spain that I measured at 37%-38%, I'm planning to try and ride up it shortly... I'm also going to submit it as a candidate for the record. It too has stairs up the side. Saw a car parked on it one day and it just looked wrong!

  • 1:50 this dude is awesome...

  • i love this hill i've gone up it quite a few times and to me its not as hard as it looks although it is still tough. i've never actually done it with people though. im 13 right now and i ride a lot... this year is my first one doing the dirty dozen and im exited because its only 3 days away from now!

  • this is mad :P i want to do it though.
