Markus Winter is looking forward to the arrival of his godson Sebastian at his luxury hotel. Since graduating with a law degree, the young man has discovered that he doesn't at all enjoy working in a stuffy legal office, and he's now excited about taking up Marcus' offer to work at the hotel. On his very first evening, the young man falls head over heels in love with the beautiful young singer Maria. Among the other hotel guests are the successful manager Ferry, his young girlfriend Daniela and her attractive, divorced mother Gabriele, who is amused how hard-pressed Ferry is to keep up with her wild and energetic daughter. When Daniela heads off to partake in her adventurous sports, Ferry and Gabriele take a boat cruise together, soon realizing that their growing affection for each other could eventually create some major problems...

Meanwhile, Martha is on her first overseas holiday with her granddaughter Eva. When Eva befriends the local boy Leonel, she and Martha are taken on a tour around town. But then comes a shock -- Martha's handbag containing all of her money is stolen! Although it appears Leonel is the thief, partly because he has disappeared, she still finds it difficult to believe. Then, Eva disappears as well. There are numerous obstacles to overcome before Sebastian and Maria can finally find happiness together, Ferry can be certain of which woman his heart belongs to and the mysteries of the missing children and Martha's stolen handbag can be solved...
