ACA Sign of Impending Speed Trap

On 28 April 2006, I was charged with obstruction (Section 444 PPRA2000) for holding a sign that reads "Police speed trap ahead". I entered a plea of not guilty and the prosecution withdrew the date before the trial - presumably for fear of setting precedent. Just before withdrawing, the prosecution also offered a "guilty with no conviction" bargain, which I declined.

This activity is *not* illegal if you know how to execute it properly and within the law. I intend to provide this education after seeking further collaboration with law experts.

FYI, the sign used in this clip was made on the day for the clip. The actual sign was confiscated by the police officer on the site of the alleged offence. I exercised a right and requested a receipt for seizure of evidence in an offence.

After the charges were dropped, I requested the return of the sign from the police who were seemingly surprised by my request and failed to fulfill this legal obligation.

I have not pursued the matter any further (i.e. I just rolled my eyes).

Exactly what don't you get that speed kills? The higher the speed, the more likely of a fatality... So how stupid are YOU? A lot of you get pissed because you got caught or you had a bad experience with a cop... Hey I never said I support the personality of every cop out there... I just believe in enforcing a safety regulation with punishment... So again I ask how stupid are you to support speeding? Tell that to the families with dead children you asshole.
