Danelectro Free Speech Talkbox

I just bought a Danelectro "Free Speech" Talkbox and I have only seen people showing the sound so I decided to be the first person to post a demo of it. I cover where to plug the tube in(easy :P), where to plug the mic in(which u can never find out where if ur wanting to buy it but wondering where to plug in the mic), and how it sounds. Alot of people say this talkbox will only sound good with a good microphone but that isn't true. Sorry about the bad quality my new camera isn'e ment to do videos :P. Enjoy

Sure a voice box is pretty cool... but what funktion does it bring... you gotta have a huge microphone in your mouth... almost like that X-ray you get from the dentist(hurts as holy f'ck) and there's like on billion wires attached to it. And you would look kinda ridiculous having a big mike/tube in your mouth like that. A 'Wah-wah pedal' is much better i think. And much safer! Those voice boxes can shock you pretty bad if there's something wrong with it. Just sayin'.. keep playing!

@Starface31 ohh u got it all wrong, the microphone needs to be near ur mouth not in ur mouth, and its easier if u clip it to a mic stand and use that microphone, that way the tube is always in ur mouth and never falls. It cant shock you because all it is is a plastic tube, if it was metal than that would be a different story. a wah pedal is also cool i also own one, i use that for everything, but a talkbox is ment for talking with ur guitar, or adding some depth into your playing

just gona put this out there, i made one of those using a cheap meastro( by gibson) amp and some shit form home hardware ( it cost me 10 bucks cuz i already had the amp.... and i didnt need a mic because if i wana use it live, well ill run it up to a mic... like the pros)

@Starface31 Listen to the guitar solo on Pigs (Three Different Ones) by Pink Floyd, then tell me the talk box has no practical function. You could never get tones like that from a wah pedal because you only have what range is built into it. With a talk box, the shape of your mouth changes the sound, giving you infinite tonal possibilities. Not at all to say the talk box could replace or is superior to the wah, but it certainly has its shining moments throughout music history

my brother had one of these originally in the late 70s when he first started playing electric.mostly cos of frampton.it made him feel sick cos of the sound goin in your mouth.

cool though,well done to this lad though ,for doin something cool and gettin a skill he can use later in life to make money giggin/teachin(or bein famous maybe!),instead of playing on video games and doin nothin but doin shit with his life.
