What does WAR mean to you?

We asked individuals within both the forces of order and destruction to reveal their thoughts on war.

(yes we left out the dwarves, too bad!)

This is a really fast, short, down and dirty machinima I made with some friends during the Warhammer preview weekend. I wanted to try to be the first to make a Warhammer comedy machinima! :)

Warcraft is an obvious copy of Warhammer and Starcraft is an obvious copy of Warhammer 40K only a blind fanboy won't see that.

Tolkien was the one who added folklores with elves and dwarves etc. in the same world, so you could say that everything copies all the folklores which is true. But what Blizzard did was to take the exact same world that Gamesworkshop created and then change some smalls things to avoid not getting sued.

The first Warcraft game was supposed to be a Warhammer game.

Yea I agree nothing is completely original anymore it seems and some take straight copies and get away with it.

@lolroflhehe Sure, but you're forgetting one factor, Gamesworkshop hired Blizz to create a game, and Blizz made that damn game. Then at the last second decided they didn't want that game anymore, and Blizz wasn't going to just get rid of it. However, it is based off Dune in it's design as far as gameplay. Warhammer was based off of D&D so on and so forth, nothing is original after the 60's. <3

@MAGExNINJA I love both equally, I'm not mad.

Warhammer 40k and Warhammer are both, and I'll admit it, copies of numerous other things ranging from Starship Troopers (the book) to Tolkien's famous works to other novels, but they took their own spin on it.

Note how, in Warcraft, it has "Space Orcs," a term originating from, well, Warhammer 40k. Starcraft has Marines, wearing Space Marine-esque suits of armor. It has Zerg, suspicously like Tyranids. It has Protoss, much like Eldar.

Warhammer was made by Mythic.

The Warhammer World was made by Games Workshop.

WoW and Warcraft were made by Blizzard...

@MAGExNINJA Nope, Starcraft is based off Warhammer 40k, Warcraft is based off Warhammer. Both are by the same company and came out in the 80's. This is an MMO based off of those games.
